Radioactive decay is a parentatom turning into a daughter atom.
An isotope is an element that is made up of the same number of protons and electrons. Isotopes have a different number of neutrons.
The half-life of a radioactive substance is a characteristic constant. It measures the time it takes for a the substance to become reduced by half as a result of decay, emitting radiation.
Fission is the spliting of an atom in a nuclear reaction, or a radioactive decay process.
Fussion is when two nuclei combine to form a single heavier nucleus.
Exponential functions have equations that involve exponents where the variable is the power, rather than the base.
A logarithmic function is the inverse of a exponential function. The independent variable appears as a logarithm.
