Summary:Astatine is a rare radioactive element that is on radioactive decay of some heavier elements. It was discovered by Dale R. Carson, K.R. MacKenzie and Emilio Segrè in the University of California in year 1940. They used a machine called a "Cyclotron" that accelerated particles called "Alpha Particles" which created the the element Astatine. It is also a hologen and a non-metal.
