What is Artificial Selection?Also known as selective breeding, artificial selection is the process breed other animals & plants for particular traits. Strains that are selectively bred are domesticated, and the breeding is normally don by a professional breeder.

What are the benifits of artificial breeding?Selective breeding is a direct way to determine if a specific trait can "evolve in response to selection." A single-generation method is not as accurate or direct.

Plant BreedingPlant breeding has been used for thousands of years, and first began with the domestication of wild plants into uniform and predictable agriculture cultigens.
