[2015] Madi Gehrer: Arctic Animals

Arctic Tundra Animals

The most common animals that live in the arctic are polar bears, occasionally a black bear, seals, snow foxes, and penguins. The arctic is very cold, and has a lot of snow, but it is the home for many animals too!

The Arctic Tundra is considered one of the coldest places on the planet. Many animals are not capable of surviving in the cold air; in the winter it can reach up to -30 degrees! Most of the animals that live there only stay for the summer, and then migrate south in the winter.
