There is 3 different zones in the ocean. The zones are: sunlight, twilight, and midnight.

There is a giant garbage patch, right in the middle of the pacific ocean. It is bigger then Texas. Lots of animals are dieing, because of the garbage patch.

The largest ocean on Earth is the Pacific Ocean, it covers around 30% of the Earth’s surface. The Pacific Ocean’s name has an original meaning of ‘peaceful sea’. Located to the east of the Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean, the Mariana Trench is the deepest known area of Earth’s oceans. It has a deepest point of around 11000 metres (36000 feet)

About 70% of the oxagen we breathe is produced by oceans.

The water covers nearly 75% of the earth's surface.

The largest coral reef is The Great Barrier Reef. It stretches 2300 kl.

Ocean tides are caused by the Earth rotating while the Moon and Sun’s gravitational pull acts on ocean water.
