Anti-semitism is mostly known for prejudice agaisnt Jews. Early Christians held Jews responsible for the death of Jesus. "The Nazi Party was based on racist anti-semitism." (pg. 113) Early Christians held Jews responsible for the death of Jesus. Anti-semitism also led to the Holocaust. Hitler was the leader of the Nazis, who wanted to kill the Jews because they thought Jews were causing all the problems in Germany.Rozett, Robert and Spector, Shmuel. "Anti-Semitism." Encyclopedia of the Holocaust." 2000.

Because of anti-semitism, many Jews faced prejudice. Jewish people weren't allowed to teach and Jewish students couldn't go to the same school as everyone else. "Rulers placed restrictions on Jews, barring them from holding certain jobs and from owning land." (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum) They were also blamed for the the "Black Death" which is a plague that killed a lot of people during the Middle Ages. Anti-Semitism was also the cause of the Holocaust. Many Jews were killed during the period of the Holocaust. They were sent to concentration camps where they had to work or were killed instantly by gas chambers etc. United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. "Anti-Semitism." Antisemitism. 5 February 2014.

Anti-semitism was linked to the Holocaust because you can't just kill that many jews without being anti-semitic. "Nazi anti-semitism was rooted more in racism and nationalism that in religious differences." (pg. 12) Jews have been chosen as a target for persucation by many societies. Many people killed Jews because they thought it was okay and that was what led to the Holocaust, which is a period of time when a lot of Jews were killed. Egendorf, Laura. Anti-Semitism. San Diego: David Bender, 1999
