The slaves always were last. Next to last were the poor white farmers.They were left with the bad land.They moved around all year for survival.
Daily lives
The slaves lived in liitle houses. The houses could hold as many as 12 slaves . The floors in the houses were dirt.
Whem the slaves woke up they ate little to no breakfast sometimes.After they were finished the would go to work.They would work in the fields all day until it was darl.After they had finished the would eat , and go to sleep. this was the end of their day. They would get whipped if the didn't do what their masters said.

Denmark Vesey was famous for planning a slave rebellion in 1822. He hit the lottery and became a free slave. He became a free slave. He was mad when the whites closed down his church.
