ClimateAntarctica is one of the coldest, windiest, and driest places on earth. The world's lowest recorded temperature was recorded on Antarctica. The temperature was a low -128.6 F !
GeographyAntarctica is one of the seven continents.It is the fifth largest continent. It is located near the South Pole and is very icy! Antarctica is about 1 1/2 times bigger than the United States.
Fun Facts!Antarctica is actually a desert! It gets about the same amount of rain as the Sahara Desert.Most of Antarctica is covered in thick ice.Penguins and seals are the most common animals in Antarctica.
GovernmentPeople who are involved with Antarctica follow the rules of the Antarctic treaty. This treaty says Anatarctica is preserved for scientific resrearch. No one is allowed take control of Anatarctica.
