Antagonist
They don't all have to be from the horror genre. They can be found in cartoons, mystery novels, almost anywhere you can think of.
FACTS
Lots of movies, books, or stories involve a fight between the Protagonist, and the Antagonist. Usually the Protagonist would win the fight, but some writers mix it up a little

What is anAntagonist
This is anyone who would be considered the "bad guy". For example, in the Friday the Thirteenth series, Jason Vorhees is considered the Antagonist, because he is a phsycotic killer. Some books have them too.
In the first Blade movie, he faces a vampire named Frost, who tries to gain world domination. This has also happened in real life too. For example, in World War Two, Hitler and the Axis Powers were seen as bad guys, because they were trying to achieve world domination. But they failed, and that is what usually happens in these conflicts in stories.
