-The residents of the "Secret Annex" are betrayed and arrested. -The eight prisoners are transported in a sealed cattle car to Auschwitz, There, the men are separated from the women.-Anne, her sister, and Mrs. van Pels are transported to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. -Edith Frank remains in the women's subcamp at Auschwitz-Birkenau. text here

-Adolph Hitler becomes Chancellor of Germany-First anti-Jewish laws established.-Franks decide to move to Netherlands.- The First Concentration Camp opened- Nazi Boycott of Jewish owned shops.

-Otto Frank is liberated from Auschwitz by the Russian army and makes his way back to Amsterdam.-Anne and Margot Frank die at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp within days of each other.-Otto Frank receives a letter informing him that his daughters died at Bergen-Belsen. -Mr. Frank receives Anne's diary. -Adolph Hitler commits suicide-Germany surrenders to end WWII in Europe






June 12, 1929: Anne Frank is born in Frankfurt, Germany.

-Anne's father gives her a diary for her 13th birthday. - Anne's older sister is ordered to report for relocation to a labor camp-The Frank family go into hiding in Amsterdam -Mr. Frank leaves a note hinting that the family were going to Switzerland and they behave as if they are going on a journey. -Anne records that she has to leave behind her cat. - The Frank family move into rooms above and behind the company's premises.-Anne calls this the "SECRET ANNEX."-Hermann van Pels , Mr. Frank's partner, and 16-year-old Peter van Pels, join the Frank family.- A few others soon join them.

-The German army invades the Netherlands
