Anne Bradstreet

She lost her Daughter who became ill and passed away.

Later on Annes house was burnt down and she had a lot of health problems.

Anne came with her family to America as a puritan. Getting to america was a struggle. John Winthrop was her fathers friend, John came on the same ship to America and was one of the founders of the Massachusetts Bay colony. Her dad was the Deputy-Governor and her husband was the chief administrator.

Anne Bradstreet was born in Northhampton, England in the year 1612. She was born into comfortable living conditions, and was highly educated. She was the daughter of Thomas Dudley and Dorothy York. She was married at the age of 16 to 25 year-old Simon Bradstreet. Anne came with her family to America as a puritan. Getting to america was a struggle. John Winthrop was her fathers friend, John came on the same ship to America and was one of the founders of the Massachusetts Bay colony
