"All I know about music is that not many people ever really hear it. And even then, on the rare occasions when something opens within, and the music enters, what we mainly hear, or hear corroborated, are personal, private, vanishing evocations. But the man who creates the music is hearing something else, is dealing with the roar rising from the void and imposing order on it as it hits the air...He and his boys up there were keeping it new, at the risk of ruin, destruction, madness and death, in order to find new ways to make us listen. For while the tale of how we suffer, and how we are delighted, and how we may triumph is never new, it must be heard. There isn't any other tale to tell, it's the only light we've got in all this darkness."- James Baldwin "Sonny's Blues"

Important EventSummer 1996 - I purchased Rage Against The Machine's "Evil Empire" album and, for the first time, heard a voice of protest from my generation. Zach De La Rocha's lyrics led me to other strong lyricists. From lyricists I moved to poets and novelists, all of whom informed me about the human condition and the nature of struggle.

InterestingsFacts- I recorded 3 studio albums with a 7-piece band between 2007 and 2011.- I gove consideration to attending film school after graduating high school. After reading books that were recommended by some of my favorite directors, I decided to pursue a degree in English.- I loved my drafting and AutoCAD classes in high school. I could never draw well, but drafting allowed me to create anything I could imagine.
