The romans, one of the most powerful empires in the world.
The romans invaded Britain, scotland, Greece and Ireland.
Did you know that the month July is named after Julius Casear himself?
If you were a roman slave and you were married, your children would automatically become slaves.
In Ancient Rome, baths weren't just used for people to get clean, but they used them to have a talk with each other. Gross!!!!!!
Romans invented lots of different ways to mine rocks like gold, silver lead etc. They developed water mills as well for grinding grains, were one of the first countries in the world to use concrete and built aqueducts to carry fresh water around the town.
Romans also invented oil lamps made out of pottery, sewage systems to keep the water clean, used concrete to develop the dome and the barrel vault and the cross vault. They used the barrel and cross vault to make aqueducts. (see in previous fact below.)
