The Romans utilized arches in their architecture. They also invented concrete.

Greek Columns

The Doric columns are the most plain.The Ionic columns are famous for their scrolls.The Corinthian columns are the most elaborate.

The Parthenon in Athens, Greece has doric columns.

This is the Roman Colosseum.

Simpson Library at the University of Mary Washington is an example of modern architecture that mimics Greco-Roman style.
