The purpose of education in Sparta was to produce an army . The girls had to be active to have strong sons because the boys were trained to be soldiers. In sparta they also didnt study philosophy , art or theatre unlike the athens.
Slaves were property. Once someone was a slave, they and their children would all be slaves. People were sometimes sold into slavery by their families.
In Greece they grew wheat and made bread .There meals were prepared in the court yard , which is the open air of each home .All places also had a market place where food was traded , bartered and purchased. In Greece they mostly grew all of their food but they also caught fish for food...........................................

Homes in Greece were small. Most homes were made out of sundried mud brick. The homes that were made out of mud crumbled away in a few years and had to be rebuilt.

Clothing in ancient Greece could be bought but was very expensive. Most famillies made their clothes. A lot of people made jewlery, it was very popular.
The art of the ancient Greeks were known for their perfection.They wanted to create life like of near perfect humans. The Greek paintings was one of their most important types of art. Some of the Romen architecture was borrowed from the Greeks. Pottery was also considered a high art form.
