Ancient Egypt
The Nile River
The nile river is the longest river in the world. It is 4,100 miles long.The Nile is located in northwest Africa and flows through many different African countries including Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Burundi.
Mummies
Mummies are the body or an animal that has been presureved after deth. It was very important to ancient Egyptian religious beliefs that the human body was preserved. A method of artificial preservation, called mummification was developed by the ancient Egyptians. Mummification was a complicated and lengthy process which lasted up to 70 days.
Pyramids
The pyramids were built as burial places and monuments to the Pharaohs. As part of their religion, the Egyptians believed that the Pharaoh needed certain things to succeed in the afterlife. Deep inside the pyramid the Pharaoh would be buried with all sorts of items and treasure that he may need to survive in the afterlife.
Hieroglyphics
This system of writing involved absolutely no vowels, consisting only of consonants.The Egyptians also did not use any form of punctuation or spacing.With over 700 ancient Egyption symbols representing actual words.It took them a long time to learn how to write in hieroglpic.
Cleopatra
cleopatra was the last trure pharaho of egypt she ruled an empire that included Egypt, Cyprus, part of modern-day Libya and other territories in the Middle East. She had four spouse's they where Ptolemy XIII, Ptolemy XIV, Julius Caesar, Mark Antony. She was on a coin.She had four children.
