The Great Pyramids of Giza were built around 2560 b.c.The great pyramid of Giza was built for pharaoh Khufu in that time! It is one of the seven wonders of the world! It is one of the most visited sites in the world!

Mummification was common in ancient Egypt. great pharaohs or wealthy people, were buried in pyramids or tombs. The poor or servants were buried in the ground. Much like today's burials and funerals!

Did you know that Egypt has had over 170 pharaohs!One of the most famous pharaohs is King Tut. He was 9 years old when he became king! Sadly he ruled only 10 years before his death at 19. His death is still a mystery.

Wow! Ancient Egyptians had 114 gods! A few were: Osiris god of the underworld, Geb the earth god, and Duamutef the god who protected the canopic jars used for enbalming.Ancient egyptians believed that after u died uyour body took a journey through the underworld and your heart was weighed, so if you were good you would go to riches and a beautiful city, but if you were bad you would burn in a lake of fire.

Their language was used in heiroglyphs.The lion was common used as the letter "L". As acustommed when a king or queen was buried they told a story or wrote a map out of shape and drawings! The falcon was the letter "a".

Ancient pyramids were built by the ancient Egyptians out limestone, and pink granite! Back then they didn't have mechanical cranes but they had cranes used by men pulling it with ropes! Another device was a ramp that helped them push things or walk up on to build the pyramid. It took hundreds of years to build them!
