The Sphinx has a lion body with bird wings and the face of a women. It is located in Egypt. Apparently if you cannot solve her riddle you will be killed and eaten by this "ravenous monster". The 'greek' sphinx was a woman. The 'egyptian' sphinx is seen as a male.
The Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra VII, was made a pharoah because she was running against her brothers and sisters. She won the throne. Cleopatra is most famous because she never let anyone get in the way of her makings.
