10 INTERESTING FACTS

Dilmun civilization is small, unknown civilization though it had many interesting features within its civilization. Not much-preserved records remain until now, and because of that most people doesn’t know about this civilization and other ancient civilizations that existed a long time ago. Actually, Dilmun had trading routes that linked through Mesopotamia with the Indus Valley Civilization. We can know that Dilmun one of the greatest entrepôts of trade of the ancient world and archeologists are quite sure about this because there both literary and archeological evidence for the trade. By using those benefits that they have by where they are that is location, Dilmun developed itself much faster than most other civilization.Dilmun was first mentioned in the Mesopotamian records as a source of copper and then established itself as a regional entrepôt for commodities such as timber, dates, and pearls. Archeologists call Dilmun ‘the greater Dilmun trading empire.' It’s not really an invention, but according to the remaining records, we can easily know that though Dilmun was a small, unknown civilization, it had a great impact on the modern world today, and also in the past. Mostly, invasions and physical conquering led to the downfall of Dilmun civilization. First, Bahrain (where Dilmun civilization existed) was concurred by the Babylonian empire, then after few attacks from other civilization groups, Persian Achaemenids absorbed the Babylonian and Dilmun slowly collapsed. Though Dilmun had fought against Assyria and survived, they weren’t able to get along with bigger civilization or an empire.
