Ancient Athenian clothing: they made clothes out of wool for winter wear, used linen as their summer fabric, and they dyed their tunics and cloaks in bright colors, and clothes were decorated with geometric designs and could be decorated to represent their city-states.

Ancient Athenian food: prefer foods easily raised in rocky terrain, vegetables, fruit, fish, possibly honey cakes, rarely beef and pork, and bread used to scoop out thick soups and also used for napkins.

Zeus is the "Father of Gods and men" who rules the Olympians of Mount Olympus, according to the ancient Greek religion, he is the God of sky and thunder in Greek mythology. He is also called Jupiter by the Romans. Zeus is the son of Cronus and Rhea, and the youngest of his 5 siblings. In most traditions he is married to Hera, his sister, although, at the oracle of Dodona, his consort is Dione, according to the Iliad, he is the father of Aphrodite by Dione. He is known for his erotic escapades. These resulted in many godly and heroic offspring, including Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Persephone, Dionysus, Perseus, Heracles, Helen of Troy, Minos, and the Muses by Hera, he is usually said to have fathered Ares, Hebe and Hephaestus.Symbols: Thunderbolt, eagle, bull, and oak

Ancient Athenian homes: each house was built around an open air courtyard, houses were built of stone, wood, and clay bricks, they were sturdy and comfortable, they usually have two storeys, Larger homes might have several bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathing room, a woman's sitting area, a men's dining room, and one or two rooms for storage, and they had a private courtyard.Ancient Athenian Olympics: according to historical records, the first ancient Olympic Games can be traced back to 776 BC, they were dedicated to the Olympian gods and were staged on the ancient plains of Olympia, The Olympic Games were closely linked to the religious festivals of the cult of Zeus, and The Olympic victor received his first awards immediately after the competition.

Hermes is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia. He is second youngest of the Olympian gods. Hermes is a God of transitions and boundaries. He is quick and cunning, and moves freely between the worlds of the mortal and divine, as emissary and messenger of the gods intercessor between mortals and the divine, and conductor of souls into the afterlife. He is protector and patron of travelers, herdsmen, thieves, orators and wit, literature and poets, athletics and sports, invention and trade. In some myths he is a trickster, and outwits other gods for his own satisfaction or the sake of humankind. Hera is the wife of Zeus, she is also one of Zeus' 3 sisters in the Olympian pantheon of Greek mythology and religion. Her counterpart in the religion of ancient Rome was Juno. The cow, lion and the peacock were considered sacred to her. Hera's mother is Rhea and her father Cronus. Ancient Athenian government: developed around the fifth century BC in the Greek city-state of Athens, a system of direct democracy was adopted in which participating citizens voted directly on legislation and executive Ancient Athenian facts (others): sugar was unknown to ancient greece so they used honey as a natural sweetener, Athens was the largest city in Greece and controlled a region called Attica, It’s believed the first Ancient Greek civilisations were formed nearly 4,000 years ago (approximately 1600 BC), the Greeks had some strange superstitions about food some wouldn’t eat beans as they thought they contained the souls of the dead, the Ancient Greeks invented the theatre they loved watching plays, most cities had a theatre, and the first Olympic games were held in 776 BC at the greek city of olympia.
