What is an Amphibian?

IntroductionThis lesson is designed to teach 6th graders about amphibians and their life cycles.

Types of Amphibians

*Frogs*Salamanders*Toads*Newts

ObjectiveStudents will know the characteristics of an amphibian, the different types of amphibians, and their life cycles.

AssessmentStudents will be asked to completeand turn in a worsheet.

Amphibian Life Cycle

Technology IntegrationStudents will be allowed to work in pairs or groups with ipads or computers to look up picture and videos of an amphibian of their choice.

The instructor will search for images online to show the students.

Technology Integration

Conclusion/ReflectionAt the end of this lesson students will be able to name different amphibians, list the characteristics of an amphibian and label their life cycles.
