The American Revolution
April, 1775-August, 1776
Ethan Allen lead a militia force to the British camp Fort Ticonderoga suprising the gaurds and taking over without firing a shot.
Thomas Gage, a British general ordered a seize of the weapons and the arrest of Samuel Adams and John Hancock.
April, 1775
The Battle of Bunker Hill begins. Even though the British won, over 1,000 British soldiers were wounded or killed.
The final Declaration of Independence is passed. This day is known Independence Day or "The 4th of July" currently.
10,000 Patriots (Americans) fight 20,000 British soldiers on Long Island, New York.
