1917 - receives training from the Red Cross and volunteers as a nurse during WWI.1918 - Amelia has chronic sinusitis - headaches1919 - enrolls in pre-med program

1921 - purchases her first aircraft, the canary!1922 - sets a world record for altitude record of 14,000 ft.1923 - 16th woman to be issued a pilot's license by the (FAI)

- It took her 15 hours, 18 minutes, in her Lockheed Vaga 5B (picture above).- She was presented with nomerous rewards.- Her book, 'The Fun' is published.

1st - March: California to Hawaii. Needs repairs.2nd - June: Florida - New Guinea. Had Fred Noonan w/ her.July 2nd - New Guinea to Howland Island but never made it.- Last radio near Nukumanu Islands:

This is the first time that Amelia sees a plane but she's really not that interested in it at the time. She's more interested in her new hat she just purchased for 15 cents.
