The Amazon Rainforest is located in South America.
It is hot and humid with an average temperature of 26 degrees Celsius all through the year.

Threats of the Amazon
Fifteen percent of the Amazon Rainforest has been destroyed. In 2000 alone more than four million acres of the Amazon were lost to illegal and destructive logging, mining, burning, agricultural plantations and road building. The burning of the rainforest is for land to farm.
