Inequalities

REMEMBER!

By: Makayla Carter

MAKE SURE YOU REMEMBER:When you are multiplying or dividing by a negative number you MUST reverse the inequality symbol.

GRAPHED:

DON'T FORGETIf you have an equation such as, 9-x/4 > 10and you don't know what to do once you get pass adding 9 on both sides you MUST multiply x/4 on both sides which is the same as multiplying 4 on both sides.

REMINDER:If you are going to plot your inequality on a number line you need to remember that < (less than) and >(greater than) need to have an open circle. For ≤ (less than or equal to) and ≥(greater than or equal to) need to have a closed circle.
