Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany on June 12, 1929

Anne Frank was a teen writer who went into hiding during the Holocaust in World War ll, journaling her every day life expierences and opinions in her diary. Anne Frank's diary offered an in depth perspective of what life was like hiding from Hitler's Nazis.

During the Holocaust, Anne and her family went into hiding to escape the Nazi's persecution of Jews. Anne's family went into hiding for two years, staying in the secret compartment of the back of her dad's company building. They called this compartment the Secret Annex. They also lived there with the Van Daans, the family of her dad's business partner.

However, the families living there were caught by Germans who had recieved an anonomous tip, the betrayer's identity is still unknown. They were shipped off to concretation camps and the men and women were seperated, the last time Anne saw her father. Anne's mom died of starvation and later on Anne and her sister died of disease. Anne's father was the only one to survive when he was realeased once the war ended and went back to the Secret Annex. He then discovered Anne's diary and decided to publish it for the world to read her story.
