ALEXANDER THE GREAT

BUCEPHALUS was Alexander's favorite horse and is also one of the most famous horses in history. Was named BUCEPHALUS or "ox-head" in Greek by twelve year-old Alexander because his head was "as broad as a bull's."

-Had all other heirs executed and seized the throne after father's death. -Paid the members of his military wages so they would fight full time and have the best equipment. -Would fight alongside his finest soldiers in battle. -Was appointed Pharaoh of Egypt. -First led troops as a teenager. -Military academies around the world still teach his stradegies even today.
