.Volt, named after Count Volta, is a measurement of electricity..He made the first battery.Around the 1800's he created a wet battery called, Voltaic Pile.The Voltaic Pile consisted of discs of copper, zinc, seperated by discs of paper and cardboard that was soaked in salt water.Alessandro's battery was later checked out by other scientists and The French Emperor, Napoleon then made Volta a, "Count".
