Effects of Alcohol On The Brain:- Short term effects:Difficulty walking, blurred vision, slurred speech, slowed reaction times, impaired memory.- Long term effects:Disrupts normal brain development, liver damage and cirrhosis of the liver, brain cells die, decreasing brain mass, stomach and intestinal ulcers and destroyed organs, blood pressure increases, causing heart disease, heart attack, or stroke, male sperm production decreases, lower levels of iron and vitamin B, causing anemia, alcoholism, death, and fetal alcohol syndrome in unborn children.

Drinking and driving remains the number 1 cause of death among 15- to 19-year-olds.

Effects of Alcohol On The Body:Liver: Develop Cirrhosis in the liver. Cirrohosis is caused by scar tissue that forms in your liver in response to damage occurring over many years. (i.e heavy drinking of Alcohol) Each time your liver is injured, it tries to repair itself. In the process, scar tissue forms. As the scar tissue builds up, liver function worsens. In advanced cirrhosis, the liver no longer works very well and one may die due to liver failure.Heart: Drinking to much alcohol can effrect the heart by developing a higher chance of getting high blood pressure, a stroke, and heart failure.Physical Appearance: Comsuming to much alcohol results in an increased calorie intake. With the constant drinking and high calorie intake an individual can have a higher chance of getting obesity and developing diabetes.

Though we have learned about the effects of alcohol on the body this Glog is to go into further depth of what one is actually doing to their body.

The Effects Of Alcohol On the Human Body.

Alcohol and Mental Health:-Alcohol is a depressant, meaning people heavily drink because they want to supress feelings of anxiety and to relieve stress. But it can send the user into tramatic mood swings while they are intoxicated. There is also risk of becoming dependent on alcohol because it depresses these feeling. But alcohol removes inhibitions and increases aggression and recklessness. It is often found in the blood of people who choose to self-harm, or attempt or complete suicide.
