DefinitionAlbinism is the lack of pigment in skin, hair, eyes, and just about everything. They can not hold a "tan" or any color.
Distinguishing features- No pigment in hair, skin, eyes, ETC.-Impaired vision or blindness-Crossed eyed and sensitivity to light.-
ReproductionThe gene passes from both parents. If the parents have it then the child will be born with Albinism, or if the parents carry the gene then the child will also have it.
Interesting factsMoist Albino people in America live a normal life span. But peple in Africa will die around the age of 40.There is no cure for Albinism Or gene therapy.It is also sex related the child is affcted at birth.
EvolutionOcular Albinism (OA) affects only the eyes, not the skin or hair. It results from an X-linked chromosomal inheritance and so occurs mostly in boys.
