Air Pollution

"Most of this air pollution we cause results from the burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline to produce electricity and power our vehicles. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a good indicator of how much fossil fuel is burned and how much of other pollutants are emitted as a result."

Air Pollution

This table shows the effects that chemicals in air pollutants have.

This is an example of respiratory and heart problems, which is a cause from air pollution.Several millions are known to have died due to direct or indirect effects of Air pollution. "Children in areas exposed to air pollutants are said to commonly suffer from pneumonia and asthma."

Acid Rain are harmful gases like nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides are released into the atmosphere during the burning of fossil fuels. When it rains, the water droplets combines with these air pollutants, becomes acidic and then falls on the ground in the form of acid rain. Acid rain can cause great damage to human, animals and crops.

This is a short clip about air pollution.

This picture show winds carry dust and smokes from factory to another place. This is basically the same way transboundary pollution of air works, many countries have been receiving pollutants from other countries.

Recycle paper, plastic, glass bottles, cardboard, and aluminum cans. This conserves energy and reduces production emissions

NO SMOKING. The air pollution emitted by cigarettes is 10 times greater than diesel car exhaust, suggests a controlled experiment, reported by Tobacco Control.
