Air: Abiotic Factors

Air: Abiotic Factors

Abiotic Factors of air are very important. For example, when two air masses create wind, plants can use the wind to disperse seeds and reproduce. There was little to no wind on each testing day. Also, the temperature of the air affects the species of organisms that live in the habitat. At the stream, it was 70 degrees Fahrenheit on both May 19th and May 29th. The temperatures in the forest were 83 degrees Fahrenheit on May 27th and 70 degrees Fahrenheit on May 29th. The humidity can cause the temperature to feel hotter than it is. The stream humidity percentages were 70% on May 19th and 58% on May 29th. In the forest, the humidity was 90% on May 27th and 62% on May 29th. Finally, there are clouds and precipitation. When we were in the stream, it was mostly cloudy with rain on the first day. On the second day, there was a heavy cumulonimbus cloud, but no rain. In the forest, there were some cirrus clouds but mostly clear on the first day. On the second day, there was a large cumulonimbus cloud and a few thunderstorms.
