After the Ice Age
At about the time of the Ice Age the sea was further out than it is today. The Great Orme was not by the sea but dominated a wide coastal plain. It had views over the coast, hills and the distant mountains.
It was an ideal place for people living byhunting and gathering.
We think they ate food such as deer, bison and horse and ate sea food including a lot of seal meat.
A horse jawbone with a zigzag pattern which has been dated about 14,000 years old.
