The hyrax happens to be one of the least endagered species in the world, but there is still a minor threat to them due to habitat loss. Hyraxes dont use their front teeth to bite, they usse their Molars on the side of their jaw instead. They also have rubbery feet with many sweat glands, which helps them maintain their grip on rocky, jagged surfaces.
The normal gestation period for a Rock Hyrax is 7 months. The Rock Hyrax typically gives birth to about two or three babies at one time.
Scientific Name: Heterohyrax BruceiIt is mainly located all over Africa and the Middle East. They mostly live in dry savannas or high, rocky areas.
