It’s an emotional disorder characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat.What are people like with anorexia??A person with anorexia will often think they are fatter than they are and have a distorted image of their own body.What does it do to you??If you don’t get treated, these are some things that may happen:• Damaged organs, particularly the heart, brain, and kidney• Drop in blood pressure, pulse, and breathing rates• Loss of hair• Irregular heartbeat• Thinning of bones, osteoporosis• Fluid- electrolyte imbalance• Death from starvation or suicide.Symptoms??Rapid weight loss, Always dieting, fear of gaining weight, eating in secret, Feeling fat though underweight, Striving for perfection and being very self-critical, Depression, anxiety, irritability, missed periods in females, uses diet pills, frequently ill, wearing loose clothing to hide weight loss, Compulsive exercising, Social withdrawal, Physical symptoms these develop over time; low tolerance of cold weather, brittle hair and nails, dry or yellowing skin, anaemia, constipation, swollen joints, tooth decay, and a new growth of thin hair over the body.

Depression - Young Women what is it??Depression is a psychological condition that affects your feelings, behaviors, and thoughts.You may feel that your life is not worth living and you may even think about hurting yourself.Depression affects children, teens, and adults of all ages. No one knows the exact number of teens affected by depression but we do know that it affects a large number of teens especially girls. Symptoms?? -You may feel upset or empty -You may not feel like doing things you used to enjoy-You may get angry-You may eat more or less than you did before you started feeling depressed-You may find it harder to stay focused-You may not feel good about yourself, low self esteem
