Acid rain is a result of excessive emissions of sulfur nitrogen caused by human activity which react with other compounds to form acids. Sulfur dioxide is a colorless gas released as a by product of combusted fossil fuels containing sulfur. Acid rain makes a big impact on forests. As it falls on trees it can make them lose their leaves and stunt their growth . It also reacts with minerals in the stones causing them to wash away.
