The number 7 on the pH scale is nuetral. Water is placed as a 7 on the pH scale

Bases

Homogeneous ' Heterogeneous

A homogeneous mixture is the same through outA heterogeneous mixture in whichthe composition is not the samethroughout.

Neutralization

A reaction between an acid and a base

if the material has a low pH, there is a higher concentration of H+ ionsIf the material has a high pH, there is a lower concentration of H+ ions, and a higher concentration of OH- ions
