Acondroplasia occures 1 in every 15,000-45,000 people born.

Achodroplasia- a form of short-limbed dwarfism


-One cause for Acondroplasia is inheriting, If one parent has Achondroplasia, then you have a 50% chance of inheriting it. If both parents have Acondroplasia then you have a 75% chance if inheriting it. -One other cause if have a genetic mutation in the fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) gene located on chromosome 4.

Diagnosis and Effects-Children and aduls may have trouble bending their elbows and develop bowed legs.-People with with Achondroplasia will have normal a torso with shorl arms and small fingures.-If you have Achondroplasithen then you have the posibility of getting spinal stenosis .-Also you have a chance of having an underdeveloping face, in the mid-region of your face.

Its rare to be more than 5ft. tall!

There is no treatments for Acondroplasia!

The only way to not pass on Achondroplasia is to not have children.
