Gary Paulsen was born on March 17th in Minneapolis, MN




Gary Paulsen has also done many other things in his life besides writing like being a teacher, field engineer, editor, soldier, actor, director, farmer, rancher, truck driver, trapper, professional archer, migrant farm worker, singer, and sailor.

On May 4th 1971, Gary Paulsen remarried Ruth White who illustrated some of Gary's books. Also they both had sons named James. Gary also had two other children named Lance and Lynn.

He flunked the ninth grade and he finally graduated from high school with a D- average.
