After the Baudelaire parents die in an enormous house fire, Sunny, Klaus and Violet are placed in the custody of their distance cousin Count Olaf. Count Olaf treats the Baudelaire orpans horrible, every day he disappears in his tower, leaving the childern with a long list of choirs to do. Count Olaf makes several plots to kill them and to embezzle their inheritance their parents left behind. After being removed from his care they go to live with many different relatives, but Count Olaf doesn't give up, he finds them where ever the go. I thought the books and movie was exellent. I would recomend these books. Their are 13 very good books.
