A Long Way Goneby Ishmael Beah

Ishmael Beah was born on November 23, 1980 to his Mother and Father in Sierra Leone. Siblings include two brothers, one older and one younger. His home country, Sierra Leone, had been through a major civil war which affected everybody. Over 50,000 people lost their lives, and about 1 million people were displaced throughout the war.
