HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

PRESIDENT

As per the Constitution, the U.S. House of Representatives makes and passes federal laws. The House is one of Congress’s two chambers (the other is the U.S. Senate), and part of the federal government’s legislative branch. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states.

The Senate was created to help keep lawmaking fair. Each state in the US elects a different number of people to the House of Representatives. States with more people living in them get to elect more representatives than smaller states, so the states with most people have a better chance of getting laws that they like passed (or made official).

The President has to prepare the national budget, set and make foreign policy decisions, appoint ambassadors and diplomats, make national defense policy, be commander and chief of the armed forces, make cabinet appointments (housing, health and welfare, etc.), appoint Supreme Court justices, report on the state of the nation to the people and approve or veto laws approved by Congress.a Vice-President is a person whose primary responsibility is to act in place of the president on the event of his or her death, resignation or incapacity. Vice presidents are either elected jointly with the president as his or her running mate, elected separately, or appointed independently after the president's election.

VICE PRESIDENT

SUPREME COURT

The US Supreme Court is the head of the Judicial branch of government, and is the highest appellate court, for federal cases and state cases that involve questions of federal or constitutional law, in the United States. The Court also has original jurisdiction over a restricted class of cases.
