The Globe Theatre
Unfortunately, the original Globe Theatre lasted only for fourteen years. On June 29, 1613, it burnt to the ground during a performance of Shakespear's Henry VIII. The cause of the fire was made because of a theatrical cannon which misfired and set the thatched roof and wooden timbers in flames.
In 1599, Shakespeare's theatre company, the Lord Chamberlian's Men, built the Globe Theatre. Technically, six men owned different shares in the theatre, with the bulk of the property belonging to brothers Richard and Cuthbert Burbage. Also it just cost 1 penny to watch a play, as long as you didn't mind standing. The theatre also opened in 1599.
