Entertainment of the 1960's!!

The presidents in the 1960's were Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon.

The 1960's were a time of change. The Civil Rights movement because of Martin Luther King and the Women's Movement because the women wanted equal rights. These were very important events in the 1960's for civil rights.

The Jackson 5 was one of the hit bands in the 1960's. A big hit from them in the 1960's was 'I Want You Back'.

John F. Kennedy was a meaningful president and his speeches always made a huge impact on what people did.

Some popular TV shows in thee 1960's were programs like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Huckleberry Hound, Wacky Races, The Lucy Show, Top Cat, Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo.

The hit movie 'Sound of Music' was created in 1965. The movie was about a family that had to live through the devastating World War II. This family classic is still shown annually. It stars Julie Andrews as Fraulien Maria and Christopher Plummer as Captain Von Trapp. The Sound Of Music won five Academy Awards including "Best Film" and "Best Musical Score". poster yourself
