Women were expected to be housewives. Men were expected to go to work and come home to a warm dinner and his thankful family.

Suburbs were formed after World War II. Most families lived in these.

The citizens of the United States had to conform to the rest of society. Not every family did, but the majority did.

President Harry S. Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower became enemies after World War II ended. Eisenhower accused Truman of being a bad leader.

Many people started to consume many more items that were not necessary since they had extra money at the time.

Once the sodiers returned home from the war, they rapidly grew their families. These babies are called Baby Boomers.

The ideal family during the Post-World War II period went to church every Sunday. Therefore, many families started attending church and practicing their religion regularly.
