WritingWe are in the middle of a large writing unit. Students have written 4 stories and chose one to expand upon. We are working on plot and developing characters as well as point of view and using dialogue. On 1/27 we will have a special guest from pARTners to help us with our stories.

Keep the Penny1. Part of American history2. Would be confusing without the penny at stores3. What would happen to all the sayings such as a penny saved is a penny earned and what about lucky pennies?4. They add up especially for charities.

Toss the Penny1. It cost 1.7cents to make2. They are not accepted in most vending machines3. They are annoying4. People are using mostly credit/debit cards
