1-Step Equations
Variable- A symbol that represents one or more numbers.Algebraic Expressions-a mathematical phrase with at least one varyable *NO EQUAL SIGNInverse-The operation that reverses the effect of another operation.Proportion- Proportion says that two ratios (or fractions) are equal.Coeffcient- A number used to multiply a variable.Denominator- The bottom number in a fraction.Shows how many equal parts the item is divided into.Numerator- The top number in a fraction.Shows how many parts we have.
STEPS-1st- you try to get the variable x by itself on one side of the equation.2nd- Whatever you did to get the variable x by itself(multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) you do to the other side.3rd- When you finish doing that then you have the answer = x.Word Problemx/6=30
