World War IIPearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese on the morning of December 7, 1941.

7 US Navy ships were sunk and 11 others were damaged.

2,345 military persons were killed and 1,247 were wounded. 57 non-military persons (civilians) were killed and 35 were wounded.

Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the US entered World War II.

Pearl Harbor is remembered today at the USS Arizona Memorial.
