Queen Christina of Sweden

Queen Christina of Sweden

By Sasha W.

Christina Wasa was born on the 8th of December, 1626, to Maria Eleonora of Brandonburg and Gustav II Adolf. Christina was left the throne of Sweden when she was just six years old after her father passed away in the Thirty Years' War. Since Christina was so young, Chancellor Oxenstiern was appointed head of regency until Christina turned eighteen. When she finally came into power, she ended the Thirty Years' War and did many other great things for her country.
