The METCO program is a voluntary intergration program that has been in Needham since 1969. Boston resident students of color are admitted into Needham Public Schools under this grant. The grant is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under the Racial Imbalance Act, the program consists of up to 143 students in grades kindergarten through twelve.

All children in households receiving benefits from SNAP, the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations, or TAFDC, can get free meals regardless of your income. Also,your children can get free meals if your household’s gross income is within the free limits on the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines.
